Daily Diversions: Want a Job at Bungie? Try Modding Skyrim


Destiny developer hires Skyrim modder.

Alexander J. Velicky spent 2,000 hours creating the massive Falskarr mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The purpose of all this time and effort was simple; Alex wanted a job at the game’s developer, Bethesda.

He hasn’t gotten there however. Instead, Halo creator Bungie has employed him to work on Destiny. While Alex’s path may not have turned out quite how he wanted his work was impressive enough to be picked up on by one of the world’s most prominent developers. Especially notable is the fact that he was just 19 when he released Falskarr, which you can check out below.
