Do You Play Games on a Mac?

Mac gamers! Make yourselves known.

I’ll be the first to admit that I love Apple products. I have an iPhone and an iPad and I have tons of games on in like the Infinity Blade and Telltale’s The Walking Dead series. I also own a Macbook Pro and I did not have a gaming capable PC for a long time until I built one myself. I used to wait for games to be released at a later date because Microsoft Windows always came first. At one point, I became impatient and installed MS Windows on my laptop through Bootcamp dual boot. It worked for most games, but sadly Macbooks aren’t built for gaming.

I wish developers would port more to the Mac, but I figure that they don’t because a gaming capable laptop would probably cost at least $2,000.

Do you play on the Mac too?

I play what I can on mine. It’s a bit dated, (2011 iMac) so fairly low-spec things like Diablo III, StarCraft II and what ever I can get my hands on on Steam. That Magic Mouse is pretty inconvenient to game with, so getting a gaming mouse is pretty much necessity.

The only games I’ve played on my Macs are Myst, Riven and the first Sims game. I’ve never liked the mouse/keyboard as input devices for action games. I’ve always preferred consoles for games because of their bigger displays and controllers.
